| Consolidated Big Valley Resources Inc. - CBG.HNEWS RELEASE February 17, 2006 BIG VALLEY/ROCMEC MINING - RUSSIAN KID GOLD MINE UPDATE Further to the news release of January 3/06 outlining the joint working agreement between Consolidated Big Valley Resources Inc. (“CBG.H”) and Rocmec Mining Inc. (“RMI”) that will utilize the Thermal Fragmentation Mining Technology to recover ore, will now be enhanced by the proposed acquisition of the Granada Gold Concentrating Plant with a designed capacity of 350 tonnes/day. A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Big Valley and RSW-Beroma Inc. of Quebec calling for $500,000 cash payment and 1850 ounces of gold payable per year over a three year period to RSW-Beroma. RSW will commission, and begin to operate the plant for Big Valley and Rocmec within two months from the initial payment. A more detailed commercial agreement will be signed upon TSX approval of the Memorandum of Understanding.
